The life you'll live at QXi: before you decide to join

Before visiting a new city, most of us read the guidebook.

It tells you where to go and what time things open. But it's the friend who's lived there who tells you what it's actually like on an ordinary Tuesday.

Job hunting works the same way. Job ads tend to sound alike: fast-paced, collaborative, great culture. What you want to know is what your days would feel like, and how the people already here describe it.

That's what this piece is for.

QXi Group, headquartered in London, is the home of Montash, Remobi and Trillion, three specialist brands across tech recruitment, engineering and SAP consulting.

Below, we share what working at QXi is like, told through real moments and built around the three things our people say define life here.

Trust From Day One

Do you remember a job where you felt watched? Every call logged, every hour accounted for, every decision checked twice.

One colleague came to QXi expecting more of the same.

Instead, in their first week, they were told something that stuck: trust here is something you can only lose. For someone who'd always worried about putting a foot wrong, it changed how they worked. They stopped trying to prove themselves and started doing their best work. They say they even sleep better.

This experience isn't the exception. As Remobi co-founder Dan Palmer puts it:

"Trust is given here day one, it's not earned."

That means being judged on what you deliver, not how busy you look. A consultant at Montash came from a role where success was measured in call counts. Here, nobody's counting their dials. What matters is their results.

It also means room to get things wrong. Mistakes are part of learning, and new starters are given time to find their feet.

And once you've found them, the question becomes: what do you want to build?

Intrapreneurial Spirit

In a lot of businesses, a side project is something you keep quiet. At QXi, it might be how the next brand begins.

Take Charlotte Christensen. She joined Montash as an Associate Consultant and now leads its cyber security practice as a Managing Consultant. Along the way, she started Please Don't Hack Me, a community that grew from an idea inside the group.

She's in good company. Remobi was co-founded from within by Dan Palmer, and Trillion grew from inside the group too.

As one colleague put it in our employee survey:

"If you come with big ideas and have the determination, then you can build something for yourself without the risk of going it alone."

It doesn't have to be a whole new brand, either. Ethan Cohen, at Remobi, hosts a monthly breakfast series for CTOs, and Peter Baroš runs a podcast series called Coffee with Remobi.

Side hustles are welcome too, as long as the day job doesn't suffer.

At QXi, there's room to build whatever you want, your way. And you don't have to become someone else to do it.

Come As You Are

Wearing a mask to work every day is exhausting. You shouldn't have to leave parts of yourself at the door to do your job well.

Lauren Hargreaves, at Remobi, didn't take the traditional route into tech. Before it, she was a mum working in youth and community work. A Computer Science degree opened the door, but it also brought a familiar question: do I even belong here?

Finding a community of women in tech helped her answer it.

Now she gives others that same sense of belonging through the Fireside Chats webinar series and the Changemakers, two Remobi community spaces she built so nobody has to figure things out alone.

For Lauren, leadership isn't about reaching the top. It's about making sure nobody has to climb by themselves.

Across the group, that sense of belonging shows up in smaller ways too.

Teams make room for prayer times and Ramadan working patterns. Work-life balance sits alongside high performance. Remobi is now 50% female. And there's a "no dickheads" policy, which tells you just about everything about the bar for how people treat each other.

Whoever you are, there's a place for you here.

Three Brands, One Community

When the group came together for Lift Off, our 2026 kick-off, the Spain team flew in, a whole office travelled over from Germany, and colleagues came down from Liverpool. For one day, Montash, Remobi and Trillion were simply one room of people.

That's QXi at its best.

Each brand keeps its own specialism and personality, and nobody's trying to iron that out. Our employee survey summed it up:

"Three brands, one community: the variety of QXi is a feature, not a complication."

Beyond the big moments, that community shows up in different ways. Some colleagues bond at run club or over a Tough Mudder finish line. Others connect through QXempowHERed, our DE&I community.

Being part of a group also gives you more options, not more layers.

If your interests change, you can explore another brand without starting over somewhere new. Our QXi Journeys series shows where colleagues' careers have taken them, one person at a time.

Ready to see it for yourself?

A guidebook can only take you so far. At some point, you have to go and see a place for yourself.

If you're thinking about joining QXi, we hope this has given you a feel for the life behind the job ad, told by the people already living it.

We create infinite opportunities. The next one could be yours.
